Bentlee

Bentlee

At four years old, Bentlee’s life was “flipped upside down” when he was diagnosed with B-cell ALL. Bentlee endured years of challenging treatments. Despite setbacks and treatments that left him feeling sick and miserable, Bentlee approached every hospital visit with a smile. He won the hearts of the hospital staff —nurses, doctors, and even the custodians—who became his main friends during treatment. Due to his fragile immune system, Bentlee missed out on school, holidays, playdates, and everyday experiences most children take for granted.

Bentlee’s first introduction to Camp Quality was cautious. Initially, he signed up but backed out, feeling nervous about going without his younger brother, Fynnlee. But after attending CQ’s Family Camp and Holiday Party, Bentlee gained the confidence to attend Summer Camp this year alongside Fynnlee.

Bentlee shared, “Camp was magical, and I enjoyed every bit of it. But really, I enjoyed being around people who understood my life.” Now thriving as an 11-year-old, Bentlee is proof of resilience and the lasting impact of a supportive community. His mom beams, “You’d never know he kicked cancer’s butt!”
