Mission, Vision & Goals

Camp Quality is all about Hope for the Future . . .

Mission
The mission of Camp Quality USA is to establish and sustain nationwide community-based camping experiences and ongoing support programs for children with cancer and their families.

In the USA, there are presently 15 camps established in 12 states. More than 700 children participate in our camps each summer, and many more participate in Camp Quality activities throughout the year.

More than 10,000 children are diagnosed with cancer every year. Countless numbers of families struggle with the physical, emotional and financial drains of such a disease. To make matters worse, the cause of childhood cancer is largely unknown, making successful treatment a challenge, current research necessary and an established support system imperative.

Vision

Our vision is that all children with cancer and their families find joy and hope through shared experiences and an ongoing support system.

Camp Quality’s program is focused to care for the emotional needs of children and their families. As they face the “bad days” and celebrate the good ones, a support network of peers provides tremendous strength and hope. As Camp Q. continues to grow in our outreach, we will laugh with, inspire and lift up as many children as we are able . . . hopefully as many as necessary.

Goals

The goals and aims of Camp Quality are simple, yet so very important.

To allow children to be children again.
To create stress-free environments that offer exciting activities, foster new friendships, and help give children courage, motivation and emotional strength.
To give the families of children with cancer a much-needed rest, knowing that the highest quality program has been selected to keep their child happy, a companion has been assigned to ensure their safety, and medical supervision will be provided at every camp.
To give the child hope in that the camping experience will be such fun they will look forward to and anticipate their next camp, and that the memories from their special week will sustain them in the weeks and months ahead as they continue their medical treatment.

As long as there are children with cancer, we will strive to care for them. Camp Quality is all about Hope—hope for a successful treatment, hope for a cure, and hope for the future.
